In short (plain-language summary)
- This is the official website for applying to the Taiwan Tech IC Design Training Program 2027 (NTUST Office of International Affairs).
- Applying does not guarantee admission.
- Give true information and upload only your own documents.
- Keep your login private. Do not misuse the site.
- Selection decisions belong to the program and are final.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. You must accept both to register or sign in.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), acting through the Office of International Affairs (OIA) ("we", "us"), about your use of this website and its application service ("the Service"). By ticking the box when you register or sign in, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
2. The program and this Service
The Service lets you create an account, fill in and submit an application, upload documents, and follow your application's status. Program details, dates and requirements shown on the site may change; the version on the site at the time you apply governs. Where information is marked "to be announced", it is not yet confirmed.
The official source of program information is OIA's page: https://www.oia.ntust.edu.tw/p/404-1060-152331.php?Lang=en .
3. Who can apply
- You must meet the eligibility requirements that OIA publishes on its official page (at the time of writing: Filipino citizens in a relevant field such as electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, computer science or information technology, who are 3rd or 4th-year university students, university graduates or postgraduate students, and who can stay in Taiwan for the full program). You must be 18 or older, and you confirm this when you create an account. There is no other requirement on grades or English level. OIA decides whether you are eligible.
- Meeting the requirements does not guarantee selection.
4. Your account
- Create only one account, using your own email address.
- Give accurate, complete and current information, and update it if it changes.
- Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account (lizyap@mail.ntust.edu.tw). You are responsible for activity on your account unless caused by our failure.
- Staff accounts are created by invitation only.
5. Your application and documents
- Submit only information and documents that are true, that are your own, and that you have the right to submit.
- Do not alter documents or create false ones. Providing false, misleading or forged information or documents may lead to rejection, withdrawal of an offer, or further action under NTUST rules and applicable law.
- Accepted types and sizes: PDF, up to 5 MB, for documents; PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB, for a passport or an ID.
- Do not upload files that contain viruses, malicious code or content you are not allowed to share.
- You may edit your application until you submit it. After submission it is locked. OIA may reopen a submitted application at its discretion (for example to correct a wrong document); ask OIA.
- A passport copy is required with your application. If you are not shortlisted, it is deleted after shortlisting ends.
- A Student ID or Philippine ID is optional. It is seen only by administrators and, like the passport, is deleted if you are not shortlisted.
- A letter of recommendation is optional. If you upload one, it must be genuine, and you must have the author's permission to share it.
- Deadline: the last application deadline is 14 December 2026 (Taiwan time, Asia/Taipei). The website closes then and late applications are not accepted. Round dates are on OIA's page. Incomplete applications (a required document missing or not verified) cannot be submitted.
6. Selection and decisions
- Applications are reviewed by OIA and any committee it designates, based on the criteria OIA describes (academic background, English and motivation).
- Selection is at the program's discretion. Sending an application, being shortlisted or being interviewed does not guarantee an offer.
- We may contact you for more information or interviews. Decisions are final. You may ask OIA a question, but there is no formal appeal.
- Any offer is subject to your acceptance by the date given in the offer, to the visa, to general insurance coverage, and to you providing a valid passport copy.
- We may disqualify an application that breaches these terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others;
- try to access other people's information, accounts or the system without permission;
- test, scan or attack the Service's security without our written permission (reports of vulnerabilities are welcome at lizyap@mail.ntust.edu.tw);
- upload malware, overload the Service, or use bots or automated tools to submit forms or collect data;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with us;
- copy, scrape or republish the content of the Service except as allowed.
8. Our content and your content
- The Service, its design and content belong to NTUST or are used with permission. NTUST, Taiwan Tech and MOFA names and logos are used with permission and remain the property of their owners. You may not use them without permission.
- You keep ownership of the documents and information you submit. You give us permission to use them for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, including selection and, if you are selected, program administration.
9. Privacy
How we collect, use, store, share and delete your information is described in the Privacy Policy. You must accept it to use the Service. We may ask you to accept an updated version when we make material changes.
10. Availability and changes
- We try to keep the Service available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, security or other reasons.
- We try to protect your information with reasonable measures, but no system is completely secure and we cannot promise that the Service will be free from unauthorized access.
- We may change the Service and these terms. We will post the new version. Small changes apply when we post them. When a change is material, a notice tells you which document changed, and you must read and accept the new version the next time you use the Service before you can continue.
11. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close your account, or remove your application, if you breach these terms, provide false information, or put the Service or other people at risk, or if required by law. You may ask us to close your account and delete your information (see the Privacy Policy, subject to legal and retention requirements). Withdrawing your application ends consideration of it.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is". We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our control, by your equipment or internet connection, or by decisions you make based on information marked "to be announced". Nothing in these terms limits any liability or right that the law does not allow us to limit.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Disputes are for the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance. This applies to applicants in the Philippines as well.
